Cheers to 2013!

It’s a new year and the new year always prompts change. I’m always one to make New Year’s resolutions (and rarely stick with them), but this year I wish to be happier and healthier.

The TODAY Show this morning talked about happiness and how to achieve it. The main things I really took away from the segment was to spend more time building relationships. I always strive to be a better fiance (and wife! in May), daughter, sister, friend, etc. The other thing is talk about your happiness and really enjoy the positive things in life. I am extremely blessed and I think we often skip over the little things in life.

Rather than giving something up, I plan to strive to be better and do better. Not only do I hope to improve my quality of life, but hopefully I can impact all of those I surround myself with in positive ways.

It may seem small, but it takes 28 days to make a habit. To improve myself, I starting to floss daily and make my bed. To improve myself for others, I plan to make one call a week to a friend. These are small changes, but let’s see what their impact is!
